Have you ever had one of those days where you are so focused on what you are doing that you forget to eat? That is me on a lot of days. Coding is one of those things that drives me to the point of forgetting everything else that is happening around me. To me, a design is simply a flat image waiting to be coded with functionality and motion. Until it is moving, the design always feels incomplete.

I have only lived in Oregon for the last 5 years but can't imagine leaving it any time soon. For more than a year now I have been a freelance designer and developer teaching myself as I go. Learning what is possible and adapting to the ever changing standards, I view each project as a reason to expand my knowledge and purposefully design based on something I haven't developed before.

I rather enjoy: Pixar movies, biomimicry, NPR, hiking to places unknown, political humor, Neil deGrasse Tyson, anything with a good, solid story and staring up at the night sky wishing there wasn't so much light pollution.
